John began to study in a middle school two years ago . His family lived in a small village and it was far away from the school .He had to get up early in the moring .After a quick breakfast he had to run to school .His father hoped to borrow some money to buy a bike for him ,but his mother was ill and his father spent much money on her medicine .So he kept running there day by day .He became very strong and was never late for class .
Last week there was a sports meeting in his school .John ran very fast and won the boys' 800 metres ,1500 metres and 3000 metres .His classmates and teachers were happy .He told his grangma about the good news when he got home .
"I broke two school records , Granny ,"called out the boy .
To his surprise ,the old woman wasn 't happy .She thought for a wahle and said ,"I am sorry to hear that .We have no money to pay for them ,you know !"
